LEADERSHIP
MINUTES
There was discussion about
the difficulty staff has with morning staffings. Staff would also like to see the follow-up results. After much discussion it was decided the
Department chairs should discuss this with there departments and it will
discussed at the next Leadership meeting.
Maria Griggs and a committee
will draft up a proposal for bell schedules on Early Release days and the staff
will vote on the proposal.
Open House was very well
attended this year. The parents liked
the breakout sessions. Suggestions for
next year:

Have some parking
attendants – students could do this
Ø
Provide child care
Ø
Make sure the lights in
the walkways, especially downstairs are bright enough
There have been numerous
problems with the alarms this year due to the codes all being incorrect. The codes have been sent to Mike Anderson
and will be entered into the system
The enrollment count came in
slightly lower than planned. This
change resulted in a $3,907. decrease from the budget numbers we used for
planning last spring.
The new laptop computers are
at the district office until all the routers have been installed. Then will then be on carts for classroom
use. In addition to the computers each
cart will have a LCD projector and printer.
There will also be 91 computers coming for student use. The Tech Committee will problem solve ways
to make sure the new computers are not stolen.
Department Leaders were
asked to make sure everyone is on parent connect and what additional training
is needed. Betty Miller will be asked
to come and show staff what parents and students see when they look at Parent
Connect.
There has been an increase
in theft this year. Teachers are
reminded to make sure they keep things locked up. It was suggested the Student Council work on ways to inform
students on ways they can prevent losing their things.
