What is Honor Society?

Honor Society is a Sehome club that does volunteer and school improvement work around the community. The club hosts Blood Drives, holds food and clothing drives, and dedicates volunteer hours to helping out those in need. Our meetings are every other Thursday.

What makes Honor Society different?

Unlike Key Club and Leadership Club, who also do school improvement and community service projects, Honor Society members have to meet certain requirements for membership. To see what these requirements are, go to the join page.

What projects has Honor Society done before?

As an example of the kind of work we do, so far this year we have: ..conducted a successful Food Drive to benefit the Bellingham Food Bank.

..sponsored a Blood Drive that gathered over 86 pints of blood from students and staff

..had over 25 members participate in Make a Difference Day

..spearheaded a Pennies for Patients Drive that collected over $950 in coins to benefit teens in WA and AK with leukemia or lymphoma

I want to help out the Community, but I don't meet the requirements. What should I do?

If you're asking this question, Honor Society may not be the place for you. However, there are many other places at Sehome where you can go to volunteer. Key Club is an example.

How can I find out more about Honor Society and its programs?

If you'd like to know more about Honor Society and what we do, contact Mr. Ferguson at cferguso@bham.wednet.edu or one of the Officers.
